The numerous Vietnamese restaurants and grocery stores, the huge fresh food markets, the African and Indian restaurants and grocers that also sell traditional Somali & Ethiopian or Indian clothing and homewares...the greek guy at the station who's been there for 20 years selling great jam doughnuts from his little carvan (squirting the jam in from his 'dolphin' jam dispenser...I could go on...

I can rarely resist anything termed as a 'cult classic' film...so took myself to see an intriguing sounding film as D was making music at the time (including mastering for hours!)....one of the flicks at the Spanish film fest in town "La Mirada", selected by Almodóvar as an influence on his work, well...
